June 20 SUMMER Networking

The SUMMER Networking event just before Ligo on June 20 had already been planned when the Finnish Chamber of Commerce and the Finnish Export organization laid there event later than usual, mid June instead of 1 st week of June when it is customary the embassies take up the first week!

-That could well have spelt disaster, but LiST threw in the 5 th gear and Made Business Happen a week later. With Ligo around the corner it is always hazardous with last week prior events – people are in their summerhouses fixing last-minute to make them habitable in time for summer solstice, preparations to close down in the offices – and what not. IN PRIME we were additionally challenged as our great normal Chef-De-Partie Stefan Westberg had urgent business in Sweden plus a departure to Lombardia, Italy, so Henrik had to muster his skills making the Classic Swedish Sandwich cake! And I will tell you, he was nervous!

-You see, when people pay it had better be good so an all-nighter was had and three(3) versions saw the light of day, properly stored aways 10 hours prior to serving. This time needed to mature is very important for taste.

Anyway a good evening was had, and the ‘’cakes’’ came out perfectly. Puh!!
